I hadn’t been to this restaurant in years and was excited when I walked in. It was absolutely gorgeous!!! Service- we had Sue and she was m great and I have to say I don’t normally do this, but I had to report on their soup. They had a special Pea soup of the evening it had a special name like emerald something. It was so good that I bought an extra container to go home with!!! I cannot tell you how delicious it was and then randomly the Chef came out and introduced himself. He was completely lovely and genuinely happy when I was Fan girling over the soup. I will definitely go back. It will become a favorite haunt. I also can’t recommend enough the short-rib quesadillas with a horseradish dipping sauce, it was good enough to eat without the sauce, but the sauce was amazing This is definitely a restaurant I am excited about- I’m sorry I didn’t eat here sooner. All my thumbs up!

My friends and fellow hikers went to Prohibition River Restaurant today after the First Hike at Nyack Beach State Park. We ordered vegan and vegetarian dishes, the Buffalo cauliflower Bites and Portobello Mushroom Burger . I ordered the burger with the ciabatta bread while my fried Larayne had the same mushroom burger on sourdough. The food was delectable . I couldn’t tell that I was eating cauliflower or mushrooms. The servers were attentive , and Chef Winston Thomas came to our table three times to check on us. He’s in the middle, standing in the back in the group picture. I loved the atmosphere. The Dj played a mix of rob/jazz/house music. It was a chill and relaxing. I will definitely be back.

If you are looking for an upscale feel with affordable prices and a wide menu selection, this is a great choice. We stopped in on a Saturday for brunch just based on the ambience and the menu. We had a great meal- especially the Prohibition Hash with short ribs! Very cute, very good food and great service- thanks Will :)

We went there for dinner and were so impressed. For starters we had the Crab Schack Dip, Dominican Ceviche and the Black and Blue Wings. Each appetizer was better than the last. We then had the Steak Frites and Pork Chops and they were both sooo delicious!!! We thought we wouldn’t have room for dessert and we couldn’t resist! We had the crème brûlée and the apple egg rolls and oh my Gooseness!!! Chef Winston Thomas is brining the heat with the new additions and flavors! You definitely want to check this restaurant out. There is something for everyone! Our server Murphy was so sweet and patient. We couldn’t decide what we wanted because everything looks so yummy!! We are definitely going again!!

Fantastic service. Our waitress was so kind, informative, and diligent in taking care of us. I highly applaud good service as it is rare these days. This was the best part of the experience. The food was tasty. Really wonderful ingredients. High quality and the price point shows. The food was good, don’t get me wrong, but it wasn’t anything that I would write home about. It was solid, and I’m sure it would be consistent if and when I return. The ambiance is quite nice. I heard they have live jazz on Fridays, too. Prohibition River is a solid spot for a high quality, mid to upscale meal that delivers in flavor and service. Try it for yourself and you will taste the care that went into your dining experience.

Amazing restaurant, the food was delicious. From the prohibition burger. NY Strip Steak Arugula vinaigrette salad/ fries Beurr d'Ali, Pork chop with bok choy and Kimchi, garlic mash potatoes to the Mahi Filet; each dish was composed flavorfully and tasteful. The pink & white sangria were a perfect. The chocolate mousse was scrumptious and light. Not only did the chef individually greet our table but offered us an in-site to the creations to his dishes. The staffing are friendly and accommodating.

My group and I went here for lunch after our New Year hike. It was our first time eating at this spot and we all walked away impressed by the food and the ambiance. Definitely going back.

Ok, there's quite a few places to eat around here, but I think we chose correctly with this one. First of all, they had us test the pancakes with maple bourbon? syrup. Sounds simple, but these were "dessert good". My hamburger you ask? Spot on! It was delicious. The wife had an awesome chicken sandwich. The kitchen staff here is awesome, and the wait staff was super friendly! Oh yeah...great french fries!
